Do you like food? If yes, then you should volunteer at the Food Project. The Food Project was founded in 1991 by Ward Cheney, who had a vision of youth from the city and the suburbs working and producing food for the hungry and learning together. If you know you’re a hard worker, you should check it out. Not only is this a chance to learn about food but it’s a great opportunity to meet new people. It’s 6:30 AM and your radio has just gone off and you hear Ramiro and Pebbles talking about the newest celebrity gossip. And all you can do is rub your eyes and smirk as Ramiro makes a snide comment about Lindsay Lohan. If you’ve ever wanted to know what it’s like behind the scenes of a radio station then these are great internship opportunities for you. For some of the opportunities, the hours may be extremely early, but you have to remember that the radio never stops!

Wonderful Volunteer Opportunity in Boston -- Rosie's Place
Although Boston is a pretty prosperous city, there are still people in need; especially women. And that’s where Rosie’s Place comes in. Rosie’s Place is a homeless shelter in Boston that has been supporting and helping women since 1974. Many of the women are working and simply can’t make ends meet. About one-third of the women have children. At Rosie's place, they assist women with clothing, food, shelter, medical services, and educational and employment opportunities. If you want to help out your community, you should definitely volunteer or apply to be an intern!
